Konrad Burk M.D., Ph.D. is professor of urology and member of the faculty at Frankfurt University, Medical School. He has been active in the field of oncology since 1978.

After 15 years of clinical work in urology and oncology including a research fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, Dr. Burk entered industry in 1987. He assumed the role of Director of Medical Affairs at Farmitalia Germany. Additionally, he was responsible for all clinical trials in urological oncology conducted on behalf of Farmitalia headquarters in Milan, Italy.

From 1991 to1995, Dr. Burk worked with ASTA Medica AG, Frankfurt, Germany as Director of Medical Research Oncology. During this time, he internationalized clinical development and conducted studies in China, Europe, Russia, South Africa, South America and USA.

In 1996, Dr. Burk took on the position of Director Clinical Research, Biometry and IT at Klinge Pharma GmbH/-Fujisawa Group, where he was also responsible for all European and North-American oncological trials of the Fujisawa Headquarters in Osaka, Japan until establishing ClinDescience in 2001.
